No Apple Envy Yet

Well, I've had my iBook now for quite a few months, and through two revisions that compete directly with my 700Mhz. The iBook 800, and the new 12" powerbook. I was convinced that I would love my iBook only while it was the top-of-the-line, but you know what? I still love it and don't feel limited by it. The most I want to do is get a bigger hard drive, but I can do that easily without trading the whole thing in.

Maybe in six months I'll feel differently, but I don't yet have any need or use for Bluetooth, or a cinema display. The iBook is really hardy, less fragile than the powerbooks, which suits me since I tend to be rough on my stuff. Right now I still feel like I've barely scratched the surface. My biggest annoyance with the iBook isn't anything to do with my computer as it is with my organizational skills. I just have so damn many things on my desktop with no place to put them even though I might use them if I remembered they were there. Hopefully I'll figure it out someday. I will probably write more on this later. Posted by Curt at February 14, 2003 06:32 PM
