Allowing Attacks To Happen
I just read that Roosevelt had advance knowledge of Pearl Harbor and allowed it to happen to create a pretext for entering the war. I had never heard this before. In
this article they make a connection to the PNAC (neocon) document from 2000 that
...the process of transforming the U.S. into "tomorrow's dominant force" is likely to be a long one in the absence of "some catastrophic and catalyzing event -- like a new Pearl Harbor".
I think that's pretty scary.
