What's With Wu?

Our Portland representative, David Wu, waited until the Medicare bill was sure to pass (after three hours), and then voted "Yea" as the last voter. Here are the details.

I vote for David Wu now because he's a Democrat and I live in his district.
But I didn't vote for him in the last election because of an article in Rolling Stone about how he was the main sponser of a law to deny student aid to any young person caught possessing marijuana or rolling papers.
Before that this guy was an Intel lawyer. Intel is a company that specializes in developing new and interesting ways to cheat their workers out of their pensions (www.faceintel.com). Mr. Wu must have been involved with this somehow.
My take on him is that he grew up as a little neurotic 'education mama's' whipping-boy, out to prove to the world that he's a man by always choosing the most brutal, backward, and distasteful approach to any situation.
However, given the selection of nasty crypto-fascist alternatives that the Washington County republicans always come with, (and the legendary closeness of the vote results here) I'll probably have to vote for weird over-achieving little creep again.
