Well, I'm clearly back to where I began. The only really consistent conclusion you can make from this - if the intent is to protect
DemocraticIntent - is that third party candidacies should be opposed under all circumstances, no matter what - in presidential races, for as long as the Electoral College exists in its current form, and in other races, for as long as preference voting is left unimplemented.
