Voter Registration

Wow, I almost didn't have myself registered to vote. I moved here last week from across town. I was registered there, but you have to update registration. Registration deadline is this Sunday. I almost didn't make it, I could easily have seen myself waiting until next week since I'm still changing addresses all over the place.

I wonder what happens if you move after Sunday? Anyone know?

I'm doing the voter registration online through the DNC site, but I think it's going to make me print something out, and my printer's in a box. Is there a way to do the whole thing online? Yeesh... guess I'm off to the DMV.

unless you register through an ACT volunteer (www.act4victory.com) in person, then you will need to print out and mail in your oregon voter registration - *with* a xerox copy of your driver's license. deadline for registering to receive your mail-in ballot is october 12th!

Yeah, I got an email later saying they made a mistake and that the deadline was 10/12, not 9/12. It was after I registered, though.

I ended up going to the DMV and filling out the form. They have a dropbox there, so I assumed that meant I didn't need to use a stamp, and that I didn't need to do the xerox copy, since I wasn't doing it through the mail. I hope I'm right... but I figure I'll run into someone on the street in the next few weeks anyway, so I can do it again there just to make sure.
